Hand Forged Authentic Tanto
This TANTO is hand forged and hand sharpened using Japanese methods to create the perfect blade. Fully functional and battle ready. The accessories of the sword are all authentic from the ray skin handle, to silk sage-o and copper oxidized fittings. This is the best short sword you will find. Our Tantos are handmade in our forge and sent directly to you.
The blade is made of 1060 high carbon steel and has been laminated in a Maru style. It has a long Hi (blood groove) on each side. This allows for a lighter blade and audible feedback when swung. It also balances the sword to achieve optimal performance.
The blade is Full Tang which greatly increases the strength of the sword. It is strong enough to cut through a thick bamboo tree with a single strike yet sharp enough to slice paper. The sword has been hand polished and sharpened which creates a mirror surface.
